The BOOST-IN project, in collaboration with the Water Europe Expert Group on Water Efficiency, Reuse and Circularity, is proud to announce a high-level joint webinar titled “End-of-Waste for Circular Products from the Water Sector.” The event will take place on March 17, from 13:00 to 15:00 CET.
As Europe transitions toward a circular economy, the water sector face a critical hurdle: the regulatory classification of “waste.” This webinar is designed to bridge the gap between innovative resource recovery and the legal frameworks required to bring these products to market.
Advancing the Circular Agenda
The session will move beyond theoretical discussions to showcase concrete End-of-Waste (EoW) applications through diverse case studies. Participants will gain insights into:
- Industrial Resource Recovery: Transformative approaches to side-stream management.
- Nutrient and Material Valorisation: Success stories in recovering phosphorus and other vital materials.
- Reclaimed Effluent Reuse: Navigating the regulatory pathways for safe, large-scale water reuse.
Building a European Network for Change
Beyond knowledge sharing, the webinar serves as a strategic forum to identify common barriers and enabling factors for circularity. A primary objective of the session is to explore the creation of a European-level network specifically dedicated to advancing End-of-Waste criteria and circular solutions in the water sector. This network would aim to harmonise standards and accelerate the market uptake of recovered resources across the continent.
