In a time when climate change, population growth, and industrial pressures increasingly strain Europe’s water resources, innovation alone is not enough – we need systemic change. This edition of Water Projects Europe brings together two visionary EU-funded projects, BOOST-IN and CIRSEAU, to explore how we can turn ambition into action for a Water-Smart and Resilient Europe.
BOOST-IN works on the ground, empowering local and regional actors with the tools, skills, and networks needed to implement water-smart solutions. In parallel, CIRSEAU focuses on the big picture, helping to redesign governance models, enable cross-sectoral collaboration, and create the policy conditions for transformative change.
This WPE intends to highlight the combination of these perspectives and showcase the powerful synergy: capacity-building meets systemic governance, and innovation meets policy. It is a dialogue between hands-on implementation and visionary transformation.
Together, BOOST-IN and CIRSEAU can demonstrate how Europe can build a resilient water future, which is also inclusive, secure, and sustainable.
